STEPHEN'S PLAYLIST

ANNE MARIE'S PLAYLIST

STEPHEN TO ANNE MARIE:

SB: What is your favorite song?

AM: TWIX, Dann Dib.

SB: Have you heard any of these tracks before?

AM: Basquiat by Black Hibiscus!

SB: We’re about to hop a plane and meet up. But first, we gotta get through the airports and plane rides, which are always adventures. Do you listen to music while doing so and if so, what songs/albums do you enjoy? For me, it all depends on where I’m going, what time of day it is, etc. I have a group of about 10 go-to’s depending on the variables, but they’ve yet to let me down.

AM: I really change it up on plane rides nowadays... These days, it feels like there are never enough hours in the day to prep for trips, with everything else in life going on, so I tend to panic download like 6-7 albums I’ve been meaning to check out right before a trip and end up getting to half of them and rocking out. A lot of times I text our buddy Alex Suskind and ask for a bunch of recs and go into those cold. It’s good to have resources.

ANNE MARIE TO STEPHEN:

AM: What is your favorite song?

SB: I see you trying to hide Moon Mist in the back. But gonna give the nod to Nothing Matters by The Last Dinner Party. There’s just something about the vibe, the harmonies and the bluntness of the lyrics that I’m down with.

AM: Have you heard any of these tracks before?

SB: Only Basquiat…which we both had! Boom.

AM: Is there such a thing as autumnal music? If so, what is it?

SB: For me, not particularly, but the season is an interesting mix of vibes. You’ve got kids playing Christmas music starting in August. You’ve still got some great summer jams in your mix. But you’ve also got some cozier, curl up to a fireplace and crank Save Room from John Legend vibes happening. Also, with a lot of the better/Oscar movies coming out in the fall, there are some killer scores and soundtracks that you can enjoy.
