STEPHEN'S PLAYLIST

ANNE MARIE'S PLAYLIST

STEPHEN TO ANNE MARIE:

SB: What is your favorite song?

AM:

SB: Have you heard any of these tracks before?

AM:

SB: When you go running, do you have a specific playlist and if so, what type of songs are on there? And if not, do you like to mix it up, or have a few go-to artists?

AM: Running playlists can best be defined for me as ANYTHING GOES BRUH. Sometimes I have a whole album I am currently vibing on (Dua Lipa early this year) and that becomes the running playlist. I craft playlists more for half marathons or marathons than I do for everyday workouts. I’m painfully guilty of just being a master shuffler. I shuffle my entire “liked songs” which really isn’t smart because it goes from Bieber to Frank Sinatra live and really throws me for a loop. I love to run to Chromeo. I do run to John Mayer… but usually that’s a cool down run.. though who can cool down to Johnny boy, really, because all he does is heat things up. Rap, hip-hip. Anything with momentum. What you should be hearing is a cry for help and please send me running playlists for Christmas.

ANNE MARIE TO STEPHEN:

AM: What is your favorite song?

SB: Let’s just say I’ve had Santiago on repeat since hearing it.

AM: Have you heard any of these tracks before?

SB: It’s a Mood and that’s it.

AM: What do you think is going to be at the top of my ‘2021 Wrapped’ playlist? And what will be at the top of Billy’s?

SB: Oh man, this is a complete crap shoot. While I might guess some music that you’ve shared on prior playlists and probably had on repeat, I also remember you saying “I’m gonna be so embarrassed by my Wrapped playlist this year” so that makes me think you’ve had some more mainstream artists in the mix. Maybe some T-Swift. Maybe some T-Pain. Hmmm, I’m sensing a pattern here. Also not sure if anyone’s asked you to play music at your office or somewhere else that’s influenced your song choice. I.e. for me and the kids always asking me to play T-Pain. I’m thinking it will be a healthy mix of unknowns and well-knowns with the typical Ariana Grande and maybe some John Mayer sprinkled in. As for Billy…haha I’m gonna say that he’s the kind of coach that plays a lot of music when his players are warming up or practicing so if I had to guess it would be an even split between 90s pop like Paula Abdul and Bobby Brown and then Bay Area pump up music and hype-trap like E-40 and Lil Nas X’s Industry Baby (who will also be making an appearance on my list).
