AM: Tell me a musical story from the last month of your life.

SB: Ok my musical story for you this past month happened exactly where you'd expect it to for a father of 2 small children. On the way to school I did what any musical educator would do and played the kiddos some of the songs I had flagged for potential KC playlist options and didn't play children's music, much to their chagrin. Not thrilled with it, 5-year-old Norah sat in her car seat with a fake pout expression wanting me to know she wasn't happy with the decision. Like any good musical educator I forged ahead not caring what my 5-year-old thought. This stalemate continued until "I Like Dat" by T-Pain came on. About halfway through the song I looked in the rear view mirror and saw Norah's face with a funny mean mug as she moved her shoulders to the beat trying to hide her newly found swag. After about a minute she realized I was watching her and a sheepish smile came across her face and the stalemate was broken. Now every time we get in the car she requests that song.
