ANNE MARIE'S PLAYLIST

STEPHEN'S PLAYLIST

ANNE MARIE TO STEPHEN:

AM: What is your favorite song?

SB: Man I feel like you had some sleepers hidden in the back, but I gotta give a slide edge to Lemonhaze by PawPaw Rod.

AM: Have you heard any of these tracks before?

SB: Nada one.

AM: What was the last “new thing” you fell in love with? Anything but a song. Could be anything else, from a sandwich to a sunrise.

SB: For me it has to be working on the 280z. I have absolutely no clue what I’m doing and, when I go days in a row just trying to get a single bolt off, I think, “But seriously, what am I doing with my life?!?” It’s been such a nice deviation from anything else I’ve got going. I spend most of my day on the computer and in front of a screen just because I work from home now. So, having an escape far away from screens, knowing I’m going to come back in later with oil on my hands (and probably face) has been really nice. I’m hooked. Already started connecting with a few others in the area that have similar rides and have done it already. Coffee meetups on the horizon. Might take me a decade, but I think it’s going to be worth it.

STEPHEN TO ANNE MARIE:

SB: What is your favorite song?

AM: I always hate it when you put the song you know I’ll like best first! Alegria by Elia y Elizabeth. I mean, what a vibe. As I was listening to it, I hallucinated and just copped a flight to the nearest beach town without wifi and by the end of the song, I had a drink in my hand as I checked in.

SB: Have you heard any of these tracks before?

AM: Yes, I’m VERY upset that AFTERPARTY by Mopiano is in my bank for my March list and you used it on your February list… Just goes to show, kids, that you never, ever keep greatness on the bench. But also VERY excited to see it on here. Been trying to convince my DJ friends to play it in their upcoming sets.

SB: We just booked our annual March Madness trip. KC ain’t ready! But also, KC is very ready! Sounds like our east-coast cuz is going to be picking us up at the airport when we land. What is the first song you’d expect to hear from him when we hop in the rental car to make moves?

AM: I’m laughing because this question is so, so dependent on who is driving this car on any given day during this trip. But yes, given that it’s going to be Mike, I am going to say that clown is going to be playing something country like Good Beer by Seaforth. If it was you I’d say Eminem or T-Pain. Billy I’d say E-40 or Too $hort or something off Mariah Carey’s Butterfly or Daydream albums. Blake I’d say Mystikal. I’m driving? I’d be playing — oh wait — nobody ever lets me drive.
