AM: What is your favorite song?

SB: I mean, what a name and song to lead off with - “Take Your Problems to the Disco.” That was going to be the runaway, but then the anchor song (I’m seeing a pattern here) had other plans. What You Mean I’ll have on repeat for a while.

AM: Have you heard any of these tracks before?

SB: Only ‘Day Like This’ by kristina alcordo.

AM: What was your favorite playlist of mine from 2022? Spoiler: Mine was your November.

SB: Another Sophie’s Choice type of question, great. I’ll have to give August the slight edge over April. August introduced me to Benny Carter, who I’ve had on repeat ever since and it also has a great mix of countries and styles.

STEPHEN TO ANNE MARIE:

SB: What is your favorite song?

AM: I have to tell you how amazing it was this month to just be trolling various playlists I had downloaded on my trip to Stockholm and sort of lose track of what I was listening to only to hear Morning Sunrise by Swish Jaguar (what a name) and immediately get excited and think, oooooo! I’ll put this on my playlist next month, it will blow Stevie out of the water! Only to take my gloves off in the cold, unlock my phone to ‘add it to playlist’ and discover I was playing your Dec playlist. Oh well. There’s a first time for everything, no?

SB: Have you heard any of these tracks before?

SB: Spotify Wrapped just came out and it’s always a nice trip down memory lane. Especially some of the early year days. What’s a song or two you might have let slip only to be reminded that are now back in the rotation?

AM: Definitely Khi Infinite “DEEP END.” Sort of like MCH’s first song we fell in love with… that song sounds like falling in love.
