ANNE MARIE'S PLAYLIST

STEPHEN'S PLAYLIST

ANNE MARIE TO STEPHEN:

AM: What is your favorite song?

SB: Man, really bringing the international vibes this month! Lots of great songs. I gotta give it to Cavalo-Fero by Quarteto Em Cy. Just has a raw optimism that I'm really digging. Just edging out Narcissist which has an incredible groove.

AM: Have you heard any of these tracks before?

SB: The 1975 and OYSTER KIDS are the only groups I've heard of on your list, but haven't heard these songs, so well done...all first-listens!

AM: What guilty pleasure album are you listening to right now?

SB: So honestly, I don't spend a lot of time listening to guilty pleasure albums. Most of the time, it's a song or two from an artist. The last GP album I listened to all the way through was beerbongs and bentleys from Post Malone. Just has a chill vibe that you can throw on and bump to while you move around the house. Which actually surprised me a little bit, because trap music is one of my least favorite genres, but this album is pretty dope. Finally watched Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse, which was amazing and has a great soundtrack with a lot of guilty pleasure artists. Also, Ariana Grande is probably my most common GP artist, cause she's just amazingly talented, but I haven't listened to her new album yet. Should probably get on that.

STEPHEN TO ANNE MARIE:

SB: What is your favorite song?

AM: Turn The Light, Karen O — I mean, come on!

SB: Have you heard any of these tracks before?

AM: Just Karen O, The Dap-Kings, and Peggy Gou (close to #1 but no cigar)

SB: Growing up music played a big part in our lives. It was an escape. It was a connection to the outside world. In some ways, it was everything. Name 3 songs that you remember having a profound impact on you (before you went to college) in some way.

AM: St. Patrick’s Day, John Mayer (still gets me)…Bad Girl, Usher (no shame)…P.Y.T., Michael Jackson

Mannnnn it was hard to reach back in time for this because my music taste blew up in college thanks to my roommate, Sara Stout. She opened my eyes to so many things I’d never heard of. But then I look at these three songs and realize I still listen to 2 of them regularly so I think true (music) love prevailed.
